A Semester Long Update

Yes I know, I am a horrible person. Not blogging all semester is a crime. I should be incarcerated. So, in order to make things right, you are going to get quite possibly the longest post I have ever done.

Hold on to your socks, it's going to be epic.

Lets start in September. My dad and I drove my truck, affectionately known as Beast, Beasty Boy, My Sexy Truck, anything really, all the way from South Carolina to Idaho. On our way, we stopped in Kentucky to see my grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousin! While the 'adults' were off doing grown up things, us 'kids' went and had adventures of our own.

First stop, the park!

Meet the twins. They are the same size and even make the same facial expressions without being prompted. The only difference is their age...

The boys loved climbing this tree!

While they were in the tree, Sara stole Parkers hat.

Then Parker tried to start a fire in the tree...it was entertaining to say the least!

Oh yeah-she's America's Next Top Model.

Our next adventure consisted of a BMX race. I had never been to one so I thought, "Why not!" It was...redneck. And we all know that redneck=entertaining. Some of the 'fans' were interesting...They really get into it.

One little kid turfed it-he was fine though.

These kids could get some air!! I was impressed.

After Kentucky, it was onto the rest of the country. Here are a few pictures. I can't exactly remember what state these are all from, but I got a few good ones I think!

I think my dad had fun driving my truck!

My little camera had just enough zoom to capture the little windows at the top of the arch!!

The buildings in Downtown St Louis were beautiful!

Beasty Boy made a new friend!

Kansas was pretty cool!

We saw the Cabela's sign and had to detour there!

It was awesome!

I think this is Colorado.

I wish my camera could capture how beautiful it actually was. This picture does not do it justice.

We made it to Idaho! I think this was the only time I have actually been happy to see Idaho, simply because it meant that we didn't have any more full days of driving ahead of us. Driving all day really wears you out! Also, being in Idaho meant I got to see my boyfriend for the first time in 4 months! Long distance is killer. My dad helped me get settled into my new apartment. I found out that I have WAY too much stuff! My dad left a day or so later and Joseph and I went to Yellowstone before the semester started. He rented a Canon T3i for me!! I love that camera!! I got some pretty good pictures as well!! Here are a few from Yellowstone. And by a few, I mean a lot!

Don't judge me, but I thought this was hysterical-simply because I would try to go up and pet a buffalo, and this illustration would me be.

THERE WAS A BUFFALO ON THE ROAD!! I could have reached out and touched him!! Isn't he adorable, with his little fuzzy face.

Love him!!

Baby buffalo!!

I loved this lake-a lot. I took a million pictures of it. Here are only a few. It was gorgeous.

Then 2 kayakers came into view and I couldn't stop taking pictures of them. It was literally picture perfect.

Then we went to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. It was HUGE!

More buffalo!! If you couldn't tell, I love buffalo!

I wanted to see a moose, and I did...kind of.

After our yellowstone trip, we still had the camera for a few days, so I had a friend take some pictures of Joseph and I. Don't worry, I won't put any mushy ones on here. I try to keep this blog 'family friendly'.

He makes me laugh....all the time :)

This was my being worried that I had lost the lens cap to the camera. He was telling me that it was on the picnic table.

Love this guy!!

Then September 21st rolled around. It was one of the best days of my life! That was the day that my best friend and I got engaged!!

I love my ring! We are so excited to get married!!

I spent Thanksgiving with Josephs family in Idaho Falls. All of his family came into town. They are an interesting bunch. There is never a dull moment, that's for sure!! I had tons of fun! They wanted to get a family picture since all of the siblings were in town, and apparently that is a rare occurrence. Here is one of Joseph and I.

And this brings my blog to a close. I am flying home on the 18th and I can't wait to see my family and my mare and the puppy! Tuesday can't come fast enough! I hope you enjoyed this post, it definitely has the most pictures of any post I have ever written!
